Electrical Engineer (Sensing systems/Mid-high Frequency)

As Electrical Engineer (Sensing Systems / Medium-High Frequency), you will play a key role in shaping our game-changing robotic sensing suite by ensuring a performant and reliable electrical design of our sensing systems. This role covers electrical architecture for medium to high frequency circuits and sensor systems.

 

Core responsibilities

  • Develop system requirements and electronic designs for medium to high frequency circuits
  • Develop electrical system requirements and electronic designs for sensor systems
  • Design requirements and test subsequent sensor system prototypes against performance metrics
  • Design system-level modeling and simulation activities of advanced RF systems
  • Design custom test electronics
  • Work with the product design and firmware teams to fully understand the Mantis technology and products
  • Lead electrical bring-up, validation and testing
  • Use field data to improve design and performance of the sensing systems
  • Work with cross-functional engineering team and research groups to determine requirements, architecture and validation methods
  • Maintain high-quality design and documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the layout of medium to high-frequency circuits with DSP, FPGA or CPU
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience of sensor systems
  • Manage priorities and support multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with schematics and basic circuit / pcb design
  • Fundamental knowledge of circuit design, analog analysis and sensor physics
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design, systems architecture, systems integration, or related field
  • Hands-on technical experience debugging complex systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of hardware development and validation process

Preferred:

  • Experience in development of capacitive sensors
  • Experience in layout of FMCW radar antenna systems
  • Experience with sensor system design & characterization
